Using the website

Your watchlist and preferences stay on your device. Contact messages are retained for up to 90 days. We use no advertising trackers. Loading images or opening a provider connects to that service.

Hosting and technical data

The data controller is listed below. Vercel hosts the website; Neon hosts the application database in Frankfurt. These services process technical connection data, such as IP address, time and requested address, to deliver and secure the service and investigate errors. Providers operate internationally; processing outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area is possible. Provider information: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy and neon.com/privacy-policy.

Contact requests

When you use the form, we store your name, subject, message and email address, language, country and affected title to handle your request. These reports are deleted within 90 days. You can remove your watchlist and provider preferences by clearing this website’s data in your browser. The protected operations area uses a necessary session cookie lasting no more than eight hours.

Finding titles by description and dictation

Describe the movie or series without names, contact details or other private information about yourself or others. Your description is sent for searching only when you submit it. Cineradar does not create a personal archive of these searches or send descriptions or transcripts to Google Analytics. Dictation starts only when you choose to start it. Your browser’s speech recognition may send audio to an external browser service; processing depends on the browser. You can edit the recognised text before searching. Typing is always available. When AI assistance is configured, your description and a limited catalogue excerpt are sent to OpenAI. Optional OpenAI transcription sends a recording you explicitly started. Cineradar does not keep a permanent audio archive. OpenAI’s own retention rules may apply; disabling response storage does not guarantee zero retention.

Your rights

To access, correct or delete your personal data, or raise a privacy concern, contact the address below. Where applicable, you also have rights to restrict processing, object, request portability and complain to the competent data protection authority.

Language, country and local storage

Your manual language and country choice is stored in a functional preference cookie for up to one year.

Optional usage analytics with Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 only after your explicit consent. Without consent, we do not load the Analytics script or send Analytics events. Search, your watchlist and other features remain available without analytics.

Analytics includes pseudonymous cookie identifiers, technical browser and device data and usage events: page views, clicks, scroll depth, result counts, filters, loading outcomes, watchlist actions and visits to streaming providers. Language, streaming country and public title or provider identifiers give these events context. Names, email addresses, form contents and typed search queries are not sent to Google Analytics. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled for our measurement.

Google Analytics is a Google service. Google Ireland Limited, Ireland, is responsible in Europe. Google may also process data on servers in the USA. See the linked Google privacy information for details of processing and international transfers.

Your choice is stored for 180 days as a necessary preference. After consent, Analytics cookies such as _ga are set with a 180-day lifetime. Event retention is set to 14 months. New activity extends retention of user identifiers. This limit does not apply to aggregated reports.

You can withdraw consent at any time using “Privacy settings” in the footer. New Analytics events stop and we remove this website’s accessible Analytics cookies. Withdrawal applies going forward; it does not automatically delete data already sent to Google.
